Hello All,
Tim Munroe here. From Springfield, VT. I am beginning the process of applying for a music educator's teaching license through the peer review process for Vermont and the K-12 teaching levels.
That I might be able to help the Springfield Highschool through serving as their music teacher during the process of rebuilding their musical performance department.
I attended Johnson State College (JSC) for my undergraduate work from 1999 through 2006. I originally enrolled at JSC to get music educator's license and the first two years of my attendence at JSC were in the music education department focusing on music theory, sight reading, performance and other aspects of the musical spectrum. I ended up graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Alternative Medicine and since then I have also completed a Masters of Science in Mental Health and I am currently working on a PhD in Soul Therapy.
I intend to write my dissertation on the concept that music is healing for the soul, and use this pedagogy as evidence for the basis of inviting my peers to approve me for a teaching license for music education in VT.
As an educator I have worked in the state of California at the adult level for The Contractors State License School, based in Van Nuys CA. Teaching different contracting trade specific classes; a refresher math course, a mold remediation course, a course focused on obtaining one's contracting license in CA.
I am excited to join the educators of Vermont in bringing both the theory and the practice of musical exploration to the students of this community.
